Goodieson Brewery
The Goodieson Brewery is located in McLaren Vale South Australia. They don’t appear to do any kind of cellar door or tasting on site. There is no information on their web site and it there wasn’t much sign of activity when I passed by one weekend.

The beer can be found at a number of retailers down at McLaren Vale and also around Adelaide. I go to try the Pilsener and the Pale Ale at The Barn Restaurant in McLaren Vale. Both are very well made and very sessionable beers. They are very clean and easy drinking. The pils in particular would go down a treat on a hot summers day.
According to their site Jeff, the owner brewer, went through the malting and brewing degree at Ballarat before starting their own brewing operation. Being able to work and live in their location whilst making beer in McLaren Vale certainly sounds great to me.
I hope they start making more of a push into Adelaide and perhaps have some events on. I will try to catch up with them the next time I am in the area to try to bring you some more information.

Sorry we missed you, we are generally always open Saturday and Sunday afternoons. If we do not appear to be around please give us a call on 0409 676 542. We have just received approval for an outdoor serving area, so next time you will be able to sit down and marvel at the wonderful views while trying a beer or two. Our Wheat beer will be ready in mid to late October so you’d better make that a beer or three.
